Dana N. Griffin-Graves is the heart and soul behind BabyBuns For Life Network. Born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia, Dana’s journey to founding this non-profit organization is deeply personal. After enduring 17 years of infertility, she and her husband Arkell finally became parents to their son, Kaleb, who was born 17 weeks premature. The experience of spending 355 days in the NICU with Kaleb gave Dana firsthand insight into the struggles that families of premature babies face, inspiring her to create a support network that would offer the kind of guidance and care she needed during that challenging time. Her mission is to ensure that no family feels alone on their NICU journey.
Dana’s professional background is as impressive as her personal dedication. She is a graduate of Matoaca High School and went on to pursue higher education at Virginia State University, where she majored in Accounting with a minor in Music. Dana continued her education at Walden University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. She is currently furthering her expertise by pursuing a Master of Science in Management and Leadership. Her combined experiences as a mother, a community leader, and an advocate make her a passionate and capable leader for BabyBuns For Life Network.
